Carolyn
Violin, Viola, Piano
Carolyn performs with the Duluth-Superior Symphony Orchestra as
well as many groups such as the “Hamlin String Quartet”
and the “Capriccio Piano Trio.” The first violinist
for the Lake Superior Chamber Orchestra 1994; violinist with Accordion
Concertina Music Ensemble; accompanist for John Duss Choral Society,
Women’s Chorale, recital accompanist. Carolyn was a free-lance
violinist for the following orchestras: Napa, Stockton, Oakland
Symphony, and Eugene Symphony.
While her performances are both exquisite and entertaining, Carolyn’s
music education is quite impressive as well. Carolyn received her
Master of Arts Degree (Violin Performance, Piano, English minor)
from California State University at San Francisco. Her Bachelor
of Music (Violin Performance) from the University of Southern California,
Los Angeles; and additional Musical education includes the following
locations: University of Oregon at Eugene; California State University,
Sonoma; University of CA at Berkeley and Davis; University of MN
Duluth; University of Wisconsin Superior.
Carolyn’s teaching experience in Duluth includes being a violin,
viola, and piano teacher at John Duss Music Conservatory since 1991.
She taught general music at Homecroft Elementary School, Director
of the Woodland Orchestra, and has also taught at Ordean, Holy Rosary,
St. Michael’s Schools. With many other accomplishments not
listed, she has been teaching Violin, Viola, and Piano for 30 years.
In 2003, Carolyn became one of the professional musicians for Hamlin
Event Musicians. In 2004, we happily welcomed Carolyn to Hamlin
Music Academy as a violin, viola, and piano teacher! Hamlin Music
Academy is happy to have Carolyn Carver teaching violin, viola,
and piano lessons. |
