Amy
Voice
Amy is a senior at the University of Minnesota Duluth majoring
in Vocal Education and Vocal Performance. She provides vocal instruction
to students ranging from the later elementary years to undergraduate
singers. For the past four summers, Amy has been an assistant at
the North Shore Summer Music Experience teaching voice lessons directing
small ensembles and large ensembles and leading aural skills and
core theory classes. As a member of the American Choral Directors
Association, she has been the student coordinator for the annual
High School Honor Choir. She is a three time recipient of the Gershgol
Scholarship, a two time Minnesota National Association of Teachers
of Singing division winner and Women’s Voice state winner
for both the Minnesota Federation of Music Teachers and the National
Association of Music Teachers. Amy is an avid performer and has
performed major operatic roles with the UMD Opera Theatre, UMD/UMTC
Opera Production, the Sieur Du Luth Summer Fine Arts Festival, and
the Lyric Opera of the North, and was a member of UMD’s University
Singers, Chamber Singers, and Opera Studio.
Amy joined the Hamlin Music Academy of
independent teachers in 2007.
